Korg iMS-20 on the iPad

So, I have been having some fun with my new iPad. After seeing all the reviews on Synthtopia, I decided to purchase Korg’s iMS-20. It cost $15.99 in the App Store and it is worth every penny. I decided to take a video of my first impressions with this app, it is not the best of quality but it gives you an idea of what I was able to do with it without having previously used it.

For me, it is a bit intimidating because I don’t know how to use a modular synth; I only have experience playing with my Minimoog Voyager, DSI Mono Evolver synth, SCI prophet~600 … amongst a few others. I don’t know how to use patches. That being said, i’ve got some stuff to learn.

Upon first impressions, my favorite thing about this app it is a full blown drum synth and a sequencer. I was having a little trouble with precision editing but I’m sure after i get used to the feel of it, I’ll get better. (Or, if it’s not me, hopefully Korg will fix this.) I give this app ★★★★★!

I'm a musician, a nut, a freespirit, a cat lover, a mac lover and long long long time user unlike most (mew wah ha ha ha), and I live for tweaking knobs on any analog synthesizer. Oh, and i'm the biggest goofball too!
